Terms of Service

The terms for using Nodori.

These terms cover the Nodori app during its beta and the nodori.app website. They are short because the product is simple: software that runs on your Mac and talks to your teammates' Macs, with no service of ours in between.

Who these terms are between

"Nodori" is the macOS app and this website. "We" are Sevenshores Software Ltd., who make it. "You" are the person using the app or the site. By installing the app or using the site, you accept these terms.

The App Store licence

The copy of Nodori you get from the Mac App Store or TestFlight is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where these terms and that agreement differ, that agreement governs the app. Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for Nodori.

Beta software

Nodori is in a private beta. It will have bugs, features will change, and builds may stop working when a newer one is released. It is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, and without any promise of uptime, since there is nothing of ours to be up. Do not rely on it for calls where a failure would cause harm.

Your part

What is yours and what is ours

Your calls, drawings, transcripts and anything you say or share are yours. We never have them. Nodori, its name, its bird and this website are ours. Nothing here grants you rights in them beyond using the app as intended.

Third parties

Nodori relies on software and services we do not control: macOS and its built-in features, and your Tailscale network. Their terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their availability or behaviour.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Sevenshores Software Ltd. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits or lost business, arising from your use of Nodori or the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for Nodori in the twelve months before the claim, which during the beta is nothing.

Ending things

You can stop using Nodori at any time by deleting it. We can end the beta, or your access to it, at any time, and the app may stop working when we do. These terms survive the end of the beta where their nature requires it.

Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is always at this address, with the date above. If you keep using Nodori after a change, you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and any dispute belongs to the courts of New Brunswick, except where the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be taken away.
